Has anybody heard of this method of gardening. I'm seriously thinking about doing it this year since we already a pond full of fish.

I've seen aquaponics done with orchids, in person. On tv, I saw that they did it with a tree.

I've used aquaphonics before. It's neat once you get it dialed in.

I'm gonna try it on everyday vegetables that we eat like lettuce, mints and onions first.

Call me crazy but I'm gonna try my best to learn to be self sufficient so I don't buy more things paying more taxes to government so they can keep spending more of my money.

After taking along time thinking about doing and trying to come up with own ideas I finally got this project started on a small scale for now. I used some leftover green onion roots , puk pel and mint. The materials I used are used water bottles, plastic trays and pebbles.

I used plastic bottles to keep ends of the plastic tray afloat then 3 holes 2" diameter. I cut 3 plastic bottles in half then fit in the 3 holes. I used the pebbles just to the roots anchored down the water.
