How does it works?
I don't know without researching. If you have time feel free to provide info. Don't go off topic on this one since I want it to be an easy reference for users to use. Here is what I know: For Windows, you'll need to Install Unicode Keyboard in order to use your US keyboard to type in Lao. You'll need true type Fonts. This can be found in numerous places on the internet if you search. Here are some sites : http://laofonts.tripod.com/ http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/fonts_windows.html#lao http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_Lao.html http://lo.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%BA%...nicode_Support http://www.laoscript.net/support/ And I know that LH is another good place to get the keyboard mapping file. Anony, you would have to download all these fonts and unzipped them and store them in one folder. After you think you have enough then use the CD or Flash drive to transport them to your old pc at Wat. There are numerous instructions on the web for different type of Windows.

What I suggest then it to download the all the files needed and burn it into a CD and sent it to the temple if you're not that keekarn.

Personally, I like to use an external hard drive, just set up a folder and save all the files to it and transfer them that way... Here's the link to the LH site... LH Lao Language Last edited by Joe Fukawe; 03-05-2009 at 04:55 AM. |

Another tips:
http://www.bailane.com/Help.aspx?sid=101 DO this first see if it works: 1. Click on the “download Saysettha OT font” 2. Save 3. Browse to C:\windows\Fonts\ and Save 4. There, now you have Saysettha OT font Close your internet explorer. And come back in. I've added this font to the back-end. Hope it works, cuz it works for me. Here is my Internet Explorer settings: On your IE menu options: - Go to VIEW->Encoding-> Western European (ISO) is check, you can play around with this setting ![]() - Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Fonts and my setting:
